Biography
Prof. Skerdjano Keraj is counted among the formative personalities of his generation in the field of violin and artistic education. His career combines the highest instrumental excellence with sustained pedagogical impact.
His musical education began at the age of six at the renowned art boarding school Liceu Artistik "Jordan Misja" in Tirana. His extraordinary talent soon became apparent, which later led him to Germany. At Folkwang University of the Arts, he studied violin and chamber music under Prof. Andreas Reiner and completed his artistic studies with distinction. He subsequently passed his concert exam under Prof. Werner Scholz in Berlin and Rostock, also with the highest distinction.

Since 2008, Skerdjano Keraj has taught violin, chamber music, and orchestral repertoire at the Aachen campus of the Cologne University of Music and Dance (HfMT Köln). In 2015, he was appointed full Professor of Violin. He currently serves as Vice Dean and Deputy Director of the Aachen campus.
TEACHING
His students are prizewinners at international competitions and have held positions as concertmasters, audition winners, principal players, section players, and academy members in renowned orchestras, including the Komische Oper Berlin, the Hamburg State Philharmonic, the WDR Symphony Orchestra, the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, the Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Geneva Camerata, and the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra (Japan)
